Priyanka Chopra AKA Bollywwod’s beloved Piggy Chops was born on 18th July 1982, in Jamshedpur. Her father was a Captain in Indian Army. Like other kids from Army family, Priyanka’s childhood was also spent in different places of India. Her father moved from one state to another frequently. She had lived in Bareilly & Uttar Pradesh in her early childhood. Later her family moved to Newton, Massachusetts. As a kid Priyanka went to La Martiniere Girls’ School in Lucknow. When she moved to US with her family, she was admitted to Newton South High School, in Massachusetts.

In the later part, her family returned to India and Priyanka finished her study from Jai Hind College in Mumbai. Her good looks and charming personality had driven her towards modeling and in the year of 2000 she won Miss India World crown and her journey towards Bollywood started.

Acting Career of Priyanka Chopra

Her acting debut started from Tamil film Thamizan. It was released in 2004. The movie did not do her much good. The following year, her Bollywood career started with the release of Hero-Love Story of a Spy. Priyanka did not get much space in this Sunny Deol starrer. However, Andaaz, the next venture with Akshay Kumar, had put her career on motion. For the movie, she won the best female debut actor.

She played the daring role of Sonia in Aitraz. She portrayed the character of an over ambitious woman, who stopped at nothing to get her way. Priyanka received the Filmfare awards for best villain female for the movie.

After this, she appeared in films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Krrish (2006) and Don: The Chase Begins Again. Each one of the movie did well in the box office and Priyanka obtained acclaims for both her acting talent and her sultry beauty.

The real journey of her career began from the year 2008. Director Madhur Bhandarkar had made his blockbuster movie Fashion with Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. She played the character of a troubled fashion model in this film and won National Film Award for Best Actress and Filmfare awards for best actress.

Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey was released in the year 2009. Priyanka Chopra played a Marathi girl in this movie. She had received praises from both critics and audiences for her performance. Her Marathi accent was near-perfect in the movie.

In 2011 was released Vishal Bharadwaj’s 7 Khoon Maaf. It was a dark comedy based on Raskin Bond’s short story Susanna’s Seven Husbands. Priyanka played the character of Susanna in the movie. The film was appreciated by the critics and it was considered that a whole new door had opened with the film’s release. Despite the praises, the movie received mixed reaction from the audiences.

Don 2 was released on 23rd December 2011. Once again, she played the character of Roma in the movie. The film did fairly well in the box office.

Her last release was Agneepath. She played the love interest of Hrithik Roshan’s Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. The movie had set a new record at the box office. It collected around Rs 25 Crores on the opening day beating the other blockbusters. The movie was a major hit of 2012.

Apart from acting, she has a fondness for singing. Being a trained classical singer, it is of little doubt that she will want to put her singing skill on a test. In the year 2011, Priyanka signed an International recording contract with Universal Music and Desi Hits. Her first ever music album is about to be released soon.

TV has played a big role in her career path. She had agreed to host the third seseaon of Khatron Ke Khiladi. The show was a major hit like the previous two seasons.

Personal life of Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka had never admitted having any relationship with anyone. Despite the denial, her name had been linked with several of her male co-stars. In the early stage of her career a rumor of her involvement with Akshay Kumar had set the gossip magazines on fire and suddenly everyone had started talking about the on-screen couple’s scorching chemistry. The outbreak of the gossip had resulted in both Priyanka and Akshay vowing not to work with each other in the future. And till date they had maintained that. Of late, Priyanka’s affair with Shahid Kapoor had also surfaced which was short-lived. Even She is known to be very intimate with Shahrukh khan.

She has also worked on several charity projects and has been eager to contribute for the common cause.
